Mistakes come in all shapes and sizes. Everybody makes them; it’s what you do with them that counts. Mistakes are possibly the most valuable part of any learning journey. By making mistakes and understanding where you went wrong, you take ownership of that situation and that piece of learning. The mistake and the knowledge and experience you take from it becomes part of your learning journey.

Making mistakes also builds character. Admitting to making a mistake and becoming responsible for it shows that you care. Being determined enough to put it right and learn from it shows that you value your efforts and want to improve and progress.

In these pages you will find examples of mistakes that the children of 6W have made, celebrated and hopefully learned from. But before you look at their mistakes, take a look at a few of these videos about how making mistakes can make you a better learner and a better person.
