Our last week of home learning!
Friday 5th March | 2 comments
Congratulations to everyone for making it to the end of our home learning journey. We are so proud of what you have achieved and we can’t wait to see you all back at school on Monday! Here are some of the things we have done in our final week:
World Book Day
We’ve had a great time today talking about and sharing our favourite books and characters while relaxing in our pyjamas.
Here are some of the children enjoying a spot of reading earlier on today…
We’ve had some fantastic entries to our character description competition. The winners will be shared next week!
Congratulations to Erin who was the winner of our World Book Day quiz for the children who were at home this afternoon, and Nathan and Phoebe who took second and third place!
What’s in our blood?
In science this week we found out about the different components of blood and made our own models to show what we found out. Can you remember what job each component does? We will do some more work on this back at school next week.
Wonder: Choose Kind
In English, we focused on the themes of the book ‘Wonder’ and Mr Browne’s idea of ‘choose kind’. We thought more about Auggie’s character and how his internal traits are affected by his external traits and the way that other people treat him.
For their final art challenge, the children were given the opportunity to choose what they would like to draw. Some children also completed some World Book Day drawing.
