Marvellous microbes

Wednesday 29th November | Comments are off for this post

This week we concluded our bread experiment to find out where the most microbes in our classroom are. The floor grew lots of microbes as we expected and now we understand why we are told not to eat something if it has fallen on the floor! We predicted that the teacher’s table would be worse than the child’s table as the child’s table gets cleaned every night whereas the teacher is usually at their desk when the cleaning is taking place and so gets cleaned less frequently! The football has some different microbes on it and it has been suggested that the children playing with it may want to wash their hands more frequently afterwards!

Compare these results with 6H on their blog page.
