Eggs, eggs, eggs! KS2 cooking curriculum this half term

Monday 17th April | 6 comments

This half term, we are learning how to make scrambled eggs and poached eggs.

Jamie Oliver shows us how:

We intend to use some Farfield Farm eggs (let us know if you would rather use shop bought free range eggs) and chives. If we are lucky enough to get any home grown asparagus in May, we might prepare that too.

I liked the American style of scrabbled eggs and the British style but I didn’t like the frech style.

    I wonder what were making.

I help my grandma make scrambled eggs when I am at her house, I like mine with cheese, salt and pepper in! Mmm mmm

I’ve not tried cheese in my eggs! I definitely enjoy lots of pepper in my scrambled eggs as well.

  4. Sally says:

I think making the eggs will be easy and are we making them all in one lesson?

Yes, it is relatively straightforward but I hope that Year 6 will try different variations and experiment a bit. In real life, you are most likely to remember the more straightforward recipes and techniques. I would hope that you will be able to make scrambled and poached eggs in the same lesson.
