Mr Cooke’s Maths 2nd April
This week in maths we have been working on 3D shapes. We have had to use visualisation techniques to identify the new position of shapes after they have been moved. We have been identifying the nets of 3D shapes and have been making examples of these.
We have also been working on angles in shapes. We have learned that angles have different names: acute, right angles, obtuse and reflex and we have been identifying these in different shapes.
This morning we played a game online to estimate angles. Click this link to play at home: Estimating Angles
Homework has been set for the Easter holidays and is also below for your reference. The children need to keep up with their maths work over the next 2 weeks so please help with homework and do any other number work such as X Tables to keep their mental maths brains sharp!
Have a good break.
