Roman Chronology – The Big Picture

Thursday 18th May | Comments are off for this post

In our second history lesson of the week, we’ve learned about Roman chronology. We started by looking at the scale of time – how long has there been a universe? We did this by looking at chronozoom and looking at how far we zoomed in to see human history… I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how ‘insignificant’ human history is in the grand scheme of things.

Then, we looked at timemaps to understand the idea of concurrence (multiple timelines occurring at once).

The children then examined a selection of events from Roman history that we are going to be learning about throughout the topic.
