A couple of maths mistakes: units of measurement and long multiplication

Here are a couple of classic maths mistakes:

In this first example, the child didn’t think sufficiently about the units of measurement.

In this second example, can you spot the long multiplication error?  Could 35 x 32 really be only 175?  Having a feeling for a decent estimate can help you spot an error.  35 x 32 was going to be at least 900 as we know that 30 x 30 would be 900 and 35 x 32 would be more than that.
